Although Prince William and Princess Kate married in April 2011, it wasn’t until 2017 that the couple joined the Royal Family for Easter Sunday services at Windsor Castle. Since then, the Prince and Princess of Wales have been semi-regular attendees at the traditional Easter church service, which is held at St George’s Chapel.

Despite only making five Easter appearances over the years, the Princess of Wales has made some memorable fashion statements in shades of blue, cream, dove gray and chocolate brown.

William and Kate are expected to join The King and Queen for Easter 2026 after skipping the service in 2024 and 2025. While royal fans wait to see what Kate wears next, take a look back at every outfit Princess Kate has worn on Easter, ahead.

Although it’s seriously trendy for spring/summer 2026, cobalt blue has been my favorite color for years. Princess Kate also favors the electric shade, and her Easter 2023 appearance was, in my opinion, her best to date.

Along with debuting an elegant Catherine Walker coat dress with a Lock & Co hat, the princess surprised royal fans with bright red nail polish—a first for Kate. It was also Prince Louis’s first time attending Easter with the family, making 2023 a memorable Easter all around.

The baby blue Emilia Wickstead coat Kate wore for Easter 2022 was springtime perfection, and its banded waist and swirly skirt made for a youthful departure from some of her more businesslike coats. She accessorized with a Jane Taylor headband instead of a hat, and like she did in 2023, Kate carried an Emmy London Natasha clutch in a shade to match her coat—a bag the princess owns in a whopping 15 colors.

Princess Charlotte joined her parents on Easter for the first time that year alongside Prince George, and she also went for a baby blue theme, matching her tights and floral dress to mom Kate’s outfit.

Although she didn’t join the royals for Easter until 2017, Kate’s first public Easter event was in 2014 when the then-Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were on a royal tour in Australia. She debuted a fitted dove gray Alexander McQueen coat dress while attending church in Sydney, pairing the coat with a matching Jane Taylor hat. The funnel-neck design added interest to an otherwise simple coat, making it one of my top Easter looks.

In 2019, the princess re-wore the same outfit, swapping out the original clutch for her favorite Emmy London bag in gray.

For Kate’s first Easter appearance with the royals, she repeated a cream Catherine Walker coat she debuted on a royal tour of Canada, pairing it with a very 1960s satin pillbox hat by Lock & Co. The neutral outfit was simple, classic royal dressing at its best, and she added a special touch with a borrowed pair of diamond and pearl drop earrings on loan from Queen Elizabeth.

Brown isn’t necessarily my first choice for Easter, but a heavily pregnant Princess Kate looked adorable in 2018 as she attended Easter services just weeks before Prince Louis’s birth. The royal repeated a chocolate brown Catherine Walker coat that she first wore for St. Patrick’s Day 2015, when she was pregnant with Princess Charlotte. Pairing the coat with a pillbox hat and a pearl brooch and earrings, Kate showed off her bump as she got ready to welcome baby number three.
