To be honest, we’d forgotten A24 and director Alex Garland had been tasked with bringing the Lands Between to the big screen, but this looks killer.
A couple of videos, captured by Throxtv on Tiktok, appears to reveal the set of Limgrave, including the infamous Church of Marika – complete with a statue inside.

Filming appears to be taking place in the UK, as evidenced both by the scenery and the easily identifiable Hedgehog Construction logo on some of the construction work. The Surrey-based company is often hired to help with set assembly on television and movie projects.
Since being shared online, the videos have gone viral, racking up over two million views apiece at the time of writing. Fans of the FromSoftware RPG are particularly impressed with how authentic everything looks.
Of course, it’s no real surprise. Garland is a renowned Elden Ring obsessive, having admitted to playing through the game at least seven times in a past interview with IGN. He wrote and directed the critically acclaimed movies Warfare and Civil War, so we reckon the project is in good hands.
In fact, even original Elden Ring contributor George R. R. Martin has praised his work, describing him as a “first rate director”.
Unfortunately, a tarp has since been put around the installation to prevent prying eyes from seeing it, but it’s too late for that now the footage has got out, we suppose.
Nevertheless, there’s no release date attached to the Elden Ring movie just yet, but if sets are being erected that means filming is imminent, so we should learn a lot more soon.
