The Danish Royal family attended an Easter mass together over the long weekend, but fans were taken aback by one subtle detail.

Queen Mary of Denmark, King Frederik X, and their four children, Crown Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Princess Josephine, and Prince Vincent, were seen walking from the palace at Amalienborg to attend the service at Frederik’s Church.

But 15-year-old Vincent drew the most attention, as royal watchers remarked that he seemed to be as tall as, if not slightly taller, than his father, King Frederik.

Photos showed the children looking stylish in their coats, jackets and suits amid the cool weather in Denmark and many were stunned about the youngest member of the family.

“Vincent shot up. Those Aussie genes,” one wrote online.

“Vincent must eat his greens – well that, sport and fabulous genes,” another added.

“Dad isn’t short, but he tries to ‘walk tall’ beside Christian,” a third said.

“Wow the children are so tall. Like the Queen Margrethe,” another wrote.

King Frederik is roughly six feet tall, making it rather impressive that his teenage son is taller at only 15.

Some joked that his height could be the result of eating Vegemite on toast – a popular Aussie breakfast choice.

Photos from 2024 showed the young prince was a few centimetres shorter than his mum, Queen Mary, but a lot has changed in two years.

Despite his impressive growth spurt, Vincent is still a decent way off his 20-year-old brother’s frame.

Photos from the Easter event showed that Prince Christian still towers above the rest of the family and is well into the six foot category.

Their Easter gathering comes a few weeks after Queen Mary and King Frederik visited Australia.

It was the first official visit Down Under since the Australian-born royal’s husband took the throne in 2024, but the fourth since they’ve been a couple.

The trip marked the first Danish head of state visit to Australia in nearly 40 years and also the first time a reigning Australian-born Queen has ever been here in an official capacity.

The couple, who famously met at the Slip Inn Hotel in Sydney at the 2000 Olympics, spent their time in the Northern Territory, Canberra, and Mary’s home state of Tasmania during their trip.
