Sarah Ferguson is reported to feel “incredibly betrayed” by members of the Royal Family amid the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.

The former Duchess of York, 66, has encountered severe scrutiny over her previous connection with the convicted sex offender. She and her ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor were referenced multiple times in the most recent document releases, and in correspondence to the sex offender, Ms Ferguson described him as her “dear spectacular and special friend.”

King Charles removed both Ms Ferguson and Mr Mountbatten-Windsor, also 66, from Royal Lodge. Nevertheless, a source disclosed Mr Mountbatten-Windsor’s former wife is presently feeling profoundly wounded and alienated.

The source informed Heat World the mother of two is “very bitter” following the fallout. They added: “What people don’t see is just how low she’s sunk. Every time she opens a paper or goes online, it’s another reminder that she’s completely on the outside and there’s no real way back, and she’s really struggling to come to terms with that.”

“Instead of dealing with it, she’s numbing it – and that’s only making everything worse. It fuels a cycle where she starts ranting and then feels even more isolated the next day.”

Fergie, who separated from Mr Mountbatten-Windsor in 1996, was not provided with a royal residence when she and the ex-Navy pilot departed Royal Lodge.

Her precise location remains unclear, but reports indicate that she has been “sofa surfing”, residing with a circle of affluent friends while maintaining a discreet presence.

The insider stated: “Sarah feels incredibly betrayed… Fergie’s very bitter, she’s angry and feels wronged by everyone in the family.” They suggested they believe the author is too courteous to challenge anyone directly.

While Ms Ferguson’s location remains unknown, it is understood she has ruled out relocating to the US as she fears examination from Epstein’s victims.

The former duchess had previously spent considerable time in America promoting her commercial ventures but she is now believed to be increasingly apprehensive about returning amid damaging disclosures from the Epstein documents.

Just a fortnight ago, a US legislator wrote to the mother of two, calling on her to give evidence to Congress regarding the paedophile.

Mr Mountbatten-Windsor, by contrast, has now moved to the Sandringham Estate. He was photographed there grinning behind the wheel of a vehicle this week, despite being excluded from the Royal family’s Easter celebrations mere days beforehand.

He’s presently living at Wood Farm, an isolated property utilised as a royal “retreat” which previously functioned as Prince Philip’s residence while Marsh Farm is a former vacant farmhouse which has been undergoing refurbishment. Mr Mountbatten-Windsor, however, denies any wrongdoing.
