Meet: Solitude (1771-1802)! An Afro-Guadeloupean freedom fighter who became a symbol of resistance against the re-instatement of slavery in the French Caribbean while pregnant. For her involvement, she would be executed one day after the birth. Her last words were record as: “live free, or die!”
