On Friday, Amanda Batula addressed the big fat Summer House scandal for the first time since she confirmed she was dating her co-star West Wilson (who’s also the ex-boyfriend of her best friend, Ciara Miller). In a post on her Instagram Story, Batula shared a message over a photo of one of her dogs. “Hi guys, I’ll keep this short and sweet,” she wrote. “I’ve obviously been MIA, but I wanted to come back on and say that I’m truly sorry to everyone I’ve disappointed and hurt, especially those I know personally who I’ve reached out to individually.”
Batula went on to say she’s doing her best to get back to normal, in truly every sense of the word. “For the sake of my mental health, I’m going to try to start living life with some sense of normalcy,” she wrote. “If you see me out or posting online, please know that this still weighs very heavily on me. I’m not ignoring what’s happened or what’s unfolded.” If you’re concerned this means you won’t hear more about the situation from Batula, rest easy. “I’ll be at the reunion and will be addressing any and all questions honestly and directly there,” she concluded her message.
Batula’s romance with West has rocked Bravo fans in recent weeks — on March 31, after weeks of speculation that things were looking less than platonic between these two, they both confirmed in matching Instagram Story statements that they were, in fact, dating. Since then, everyone from Rihanna to Paige DeSorbo to Zohran Mamdani has pledged their allegiance to Team Ciara.
Talk about a rough hard launch. Anyway, good luck to Batula on posting her Coachella outfit this weekend.
