They had one of the most infamous celebrity splits in showbiz but Peter Andre now reveals he is on such good terms with ex Katie Price that they speak on the phone and he even has her over for lunch

Only two months ago Peter Andre and Katie Price ended one of the longest feuds in celebrity history as the once warring exes finally called a truce for the sake of their adult children Junior, 20, and Princess, 18.
And it appears their joint statement declaring they’d “decided to close the door on the past and move forward” and hoped it was the “start of a positive relationship” was sincere.
Peter, 53, has revealed the pair speak on the phone and even had his ex Katie, 47, over for lunch in the home he shares with his wife Emily and their three children, Amelia 12, Theo, 8, and Arabella, one. He also shared how he’s seen Katie’s new husband, Lee Andrews who she married in January days after meeting on Instagram.
In an interview with The Sun, Peter said: “It was only recently when Princess was in the kitchen and she went, ‘Oh, I’ll go in the other room to make this call’. I asked why, and thought she was going to be speaking to a boy or something, but she said, ‘I’m going to speak to Mum’. I said, ‘Well, put her on, and I’ll say hello’.
“So she came on and she went, ‘Oh, this is weird isn’t it’ and I said, ‘Actually, it isn’t.’ And that’s when I saw her and her husband. We had a chat, we laughed, and it wasn’t weird at all.”

It’s a conversation which 15 years ago never seemed possible. After meeting on I’m A Celebrity in 2004 Katie and Peter became a celebrity couple with their wedding on the cover of OK magazine and landing multiple reality shows.
Things turned sour in 2009 when they split and they had no contact. For years, they only communicated through third parties regarding their children. But while the public only saw this side, Peter shares that behind closed doors, there has been more contact and perhaps friendship than many would believe. So much so, Katie, has been to Pete’s Surrey home. Last June Katie said she was glad Peter married Emily but then lashed out two months later publicly criticising Emily on Instagram for putting Junior and Princess on her social media while hiding her children’s faces.
While on good terms now,. Peter is keen for it to last.
He added: “A lot of people don’t know this, but many times over the last 16 years, we have been OK. Only four years ago, she was sitting in our garden and we were all having lunch. And I love that.
“And now we’re fine again and this time I really want it to last. Because, no matter what happens, she’s the mother of my kids. And those kids are my world.”
