Sean Baker has a new film hitting theaters next year called “Ti Amo!,” and Warner Bros. will release it under what is the first title as part of its new specialized label, now named Clockwork.

Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy announced the news at the start of the studio’s CinemaCon presentation on Tuesday, April 14, and though there was no other information revealed out of the gate, they said it will hit theaters in 2027, when the studio is hoping to deliver 18 movies as part of its slate.

Baker will write, direct, edit, cast, and produce “Ti Amo!” while re-teaming with “Anora” producers Alex Coco and Samantha Quan. The team’s production companies, Cre Film and Rapt Film, are producing and the film is financed by FilmNation Entertainment.

The film is Baker’s follow-up to his Best Picture-winning film “Anora,” and it’s a huge swing from the new label that is led by former Neon executives, which released “Anora.” Clockwork is led by Christian Parkes, and the label aims to produce “socially relevant, provocative, and culturally resonant cinema for audiences globally,” per a release.

“Sean Baker is an artist who embodies everything we believe in at Clockwork, and ‘TI AMO!’ will be another gift to Cinema. Plus, his poster game is on point,” said Parkes.

The deal was negotiated by Warner Bros. Clockwork’s Head of Production & Acquisition Jason Wald, Warner Bros. EVP of Business Affairs Erik Elner, with attorney Jamie Feldman on behalf of the filmmakers and Laine Kline on behalf of FilmNation Entertainment.

“Anora” made Oscar history, winning four Academy Awards for Best Director, Best Writer, Best Editing, and Best Picture. The film made $57.3 million globally at the box office.

Warner Bros. led off its CinemaCon slate with the Sean Baker news, right after taking a victory lap in honor of “One Battle After Another” winning Best Picture and “Sinners” receiving the most Oscar nominations in history. The studio intends to showcase first looks at films like “The End of Oak Street,” “Digger,” “Supergirl,” “The Cat in the Hat,” “Mortal Kombat II,” “The Great Beyond,” and “Dune: Part III.”
