Zayn Malik has had a health scare
Former One Direction star Zayn Malik has revealed he is heartbroken after being rushed to hospital. The singer shared his health update on social media, showing an image of him in hospital hooked up to machines.
The singer was seen lying in a bed with a blood pressure monitor on his arm. He also appeared to be linked to an ECG machine, but Zayn stopped short of explaining what was wrong.
He wrote: “To my fans – Thank you to all of you for your love & support now & always-been a long week and am still unexpectedly recovering. Heartbroken that I can’t see you all this week.

Following the news, fans were quick to take to social media to share their concern. One X, formerly known as Twitter, one user pleaded: “Please keep him in your prayers.” Another added: “Zayn Malik why are you thanking a cardiologist what happened to your heart omg.”
His update comes days after he left fans devastated after cancelling a special UK event. The singer was all set for a one-off album playback along with a question-and-answer session at Banquet Records in Kingston.
But he was forced to cancel the show just the night before it was set to happen. On Sunday, Banquet Records announced the news that the show had been cancelled.
They claimed the show would be rescheduled for a later date. Their social media post read: “Gutted to say Monday’s ZAYN events are postponed due to illness.
“We send our best wishes for a speedy recovery. We’ll be back to ticket holders later in the coming week. Thanks for your understanding and sorry again for the disappointment.”
And there was also a comment from Zayn himself. It read: “I’m sorry but unfortunately I am sick and I won’t be able to make it to the UK this week as planned. We’re already in the process of trying to reschedule the Banquet Q&A, and will be sharing new dates soon.
“Working on getting each of your info as well to send you something. Thank you for understanding and continued love and support. Big love xx Zayn.”
It was the second Banquet Records gig to be cancelled by Zayn in recent years. In 2024, the singer upset fans by cancelling his show due to “unforeseen circumstances” on the day the concert was supposed to happen.
Other appearances were also cancelled after the news. An announcement said: “Given Zayn’s recent health update, this week’s in-store events at Looney Tunes, Rough Trade, Newbury Comics, and The Sound Garden are cancelled.
“If you purchased tickets, the stores will reach out directly regarding next steps. The NY KONNAKOL pop-up at UMusic Shop will remain open on Monday without Zayn.”
