The Croatian broadcaster HRT has revealed it will be airing a documentary to celebrate 70 years of the Eurovision Song Contest.

Eurosong 70: Naši ljudi, naše pjesme, will air on April 27 and May 6 on HTV 1, following 70 years of the Eurovision Song Contest. The show will focus on Croatian artists who have taken to the stage from those who performed for Yugoslavia, to post-independence performers. Among the artists who will feature in the show are Emilija Kokić, Doris Dragović and Danijela Martinović.

Scriptwriter and director of the show, Nensi Profaca, commented:

“It is incredible how much Eurovision has changed since those times until today. From a music festival, it has become a television spectacle of top production. And the conversations with our Eurovision representatives and witnesses of some past times, as well as the “diving” into the archival pearls that one can find in the HRT archive, gave me a new perspective on the Eurovision Song Contest. It is wonderful to see what the years do and how this European ‘music lady’ ages with dignity”
