Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could be expecting a fresh wave of heat on them in the coming weeks as Piers Morgan has announced he will be airing a new show that is all about the Royal Family. While the couple have received mixed reviews from the recent trip Down Under, this new venture will likely be a different kettle of fish.
The mum-of-two has regularly been a target of Morgan’s rants over the years, whether it be on Good Morning Britain or his own show Piers Morgan: Uncensored. One commentary from the opinionated broadcaster about Meghan even saw him exit GMB without an apology for his remarks.
Morgan took to Instagram to tease the venture. Sharing some “big royal news”, the presenter confirmed that from April 30 his channel will feature a programme exclusively dedicated to royal matters. Urging his followers to subscribe to his Youtube channel, the programme will be hosted by Katie Nicholl and Jo Elvin.
The 61-year-old wrote: “The weekly podcast and YouTube show will be the home of insider analysis, fearless debates and breaking Royal news as the Monarchy faces up to turbulent times. It launches April 30. Subscribe now!”
While the show will hopefully feature some insightful debates with a balanced discussion, it is unlikely that the Duchess of Sussex will come out of the show unscathed, reports the Mirror. While Harry and Meghan have received backlash since stepping down from their royal duties in 2020, this new segment could further damage their image.
Worries about the programme aren’t to be dismissed as only yesterday (April 18) Morgan took part in a heated debate on his programme about whether Harry and Meghan should be stripped of their titles, with Morgan being a firm believer of this change.

He was eventually seen to declare: “Cool, let’s call her Meg. Let’s quit the duchess b******t. Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. No! I’m from Sussex, p*** off!” As the regular show already brings such comments, many people are wondering how full on a dedicated programme will go.
While there has been drama with the Royal Family itself, with Andrew Mountbatten Windsor’s recent arrest and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, hiding away in a £2,000-a-night ski lodge in Austria, Meghan has had a few damaging instances of late that will likely be discussed.
With reports of Meghan parting ways with Netflix, she was also seen to attend a Hollywood event wearing a coloured gown while the other guests stuck to the black and white dress code. Additionally, she faced criticism for commercialising her outfit she wore during a visit to Bondi attack survivors.
During her royal visit to Australia with Harry last week, Meghan opened up about the toll of online abuse, describing herself as “the most trolled person in the entire world”.

On the third day of the tour, the mum-of-two spoke to a classroom of young people involved with the mental health organisation Batyr. Opening up about her own experiences in media scrutiny, she warned that major platforms are “not incentivised to stop” harmful behaviour.
She said: “And I can speak to that really personally, which is why I like to listen, because it rings true for me in a very real way. For now, 10 years, every day for 10 years, I have been bullied and attacked. And I was the most trolled person in the entire world.”
Speaking at Melbourne’s Swinburne University of Technology, she reflected on the impact social media is having on the mental health of young people, suggesting that online platforms are built in a way that rewards controversy and negativity.
She added: “Now, I’m still here. And when I think of all of you and what you’re experiencing, I think so much of that is having to realise that you know that industry, that billion-dollar industry, that is completely anchored and predicated on cruelty to get clicks – that’s not going to change. So you have to be stronger than that.”
Fans of Morgan’s current show have already expressed excitement about the new programme that is about to hit their screens, with anticipation growing about what revelations and commentary the new presenting partnership will provide.
