A new horror film is about to be filmed in Hull and you could appear in it. The period movie, set in the 1800s, requires “100-plus supporting artists”, according to a casting call.

Shooting of the film will take place in various locations around Hull and at a studio in Leeds, a post by Alessi Hartigan Casting UK said. The Facebook post said: “Want to be in an 1800s Horror feature film shooting in Hull?

“We need 100+ supporting artists and it could be you.” Costume fittings will be taking place from April 20 to 24.

The shoot itself will run from May 19 to 21. Anyone fancying the chance to appear as an extra is asked to register with the casting company via its website.

The role is described as “lower class passer-by – 1800s period” and candidates must be available on all the shoot dates. The hours are noted as 5.30pm to 4.30am, with the night shoot call time approximately 3pm.

The post said the shoot rate is £182.63 for nine hours plus a one-hour lunch, subject to overtime. Costume fitting is required from April 20 to 24, at Versa Studios, Holbeck, Leeds LS12 1AP, with a fee of £60.83 paid for attending.
