Prom has always been a rite of passage for people. Family members come to see you off. Big bucks are spent to get teens the looks they want. Photos capture a moment that will be etched in time. Decorations make it feel like a true celebration. But in the age of social media, it’s become a full-on moment that people don’t play about. And when it comes to Black celebrity kids, the excitement goes up a notch, as Internet aunties and uncles are also excited to see their favorite star kids step out, in style, for a beloved tradition.
