Deadline is reporting that combined sales of the Super Mario Bros. Movie and the Super Mario Galaxy Movie have now surpassed $2 billion worldwide. This means that the movies are now the tenth animated feature film series of all time with only two films, which is quite an achievement. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie global earnings now stand at $747.4M. Super Mario Galaxy is officially the highest-grossing movie of 2026 so far, but it has stiff competition on the horizon.
