A list of celebrities who completed the 2026 London Marathon has emerged, with former Formula One driver Sebastian Vettel topping the charts with a mightily impressive time of 2:29:08.
Vettel, a four-time F1 champion, has been raising money for the Brain & Spine Foundation and The Grand Prix Trust, two charities that have been at the heart of Formula One for more than three decades.
The 38-year-old, who was wearing the number 45294, began his race at 09:35 local time and crossed the line at approximately 12:04 after clocking a time of 2:29:08.
Other high-profile sporting figures who completed the 26.2 mile race included former Arsenal and Cardiff City midfielder Aaron Ramsey, who completed his run in 3:00:30, just behind keen runner Vettel.
Cricket legend Sir Alastair Cook, who was raising money for the Ruth Strauss Foundation, also took part in the event, recording a time of 3:05:15.
Former British tennis player Laura Robson wasn’t far behind and crossed the line in 3:05:15, with snowboarder Aimee Fuller, who competed at the 2014 and 2018 Winter Games, clocking a very respectable 3:36:48.
Dame Laura Kenny, the most successful British female Olympian ever, also took part with a run of 3:45:05.
In terms of other sportspeople who participated, former Arsenal and England defender Tony Adams made an appearance in London alongside champion jockey AP McCoy and a host of former Olympians, including Ben Ainslie and Chris Newton.
Adams wasn’t the only ex-footballer to take part, with former Manchester United and Burnley goalkeeper Lee Grant getting involved with ex-Republic of Ireland international Darren Randolph.
