Harry Styles and Zoë Kravitz are engaged eight months after they were first romantically linked, People and Entertainment Tonight report.A source spoke to Entertainment Tonight about why Styles felt ready to propose.“They’re crazy in love,” the source said, adding that “they couldn’t be more excited” about their milestone.
Harry Styles has found his person in Zoë Kravitz—and had wanted to propose to her for a while. A source told People on April 27 that the couple is engaged and has told “a small circle” of people.
Entertainment Tonight confirmed the news shortly after, with a source explaining why Styles felt ready to propose eight months after he and Kravitz were first romantically linked.
“They’re crazy in love,” the insider said. “Harry has wanted to take things to the next level with Zoë for a while, and he sees Zoë as someone he could settle down with.”
As they plan their future, “they couldn’t be more excited,” the source added. “She absolutely loves her ring!”
Kravitz and Styles first sparked engagement rumors on April 21 when paparazzi snapped photos of them out in London. Kravitz had a sizable diamond ring on her left ring finger.
Styles and Kravitz first sparked dating rumors in August. At the time, a source told People, “He’s been spending time with her while she’s been on her press run.”
The couple was spotted together in New York, Rome, Berlin, and Los Angeles in the months following.
In February, a source told People that Kravitz and Styles “seem very serious and focused on prioritizing time together. They also seem to have created a life together that they both genuinely enjoy.”
Earlier this year, Styles spoke to Zane Lowe during his Apple Music interview about how watching his close friends get married led him to reflect more honestly on what he wants.
Witnessing his friends’ weddings showed him that “there just is a magic when you find the right person that you want to be with,” he said. “It’s like being truly vulnerable with someone, like sharing a life with someone like that. Having the time to stop and assess all of it and really look at my life from a bird’s eye view and go, ‘What do I actually want in my life?’ Like, I have all these things around me all the time. It’s hard to pull those things in without making space for them…If you’re touring all the time, and you’re doing this all the time and all these things, there’s no space to really choose.”
So he had “a real honest conversation with myself about, ‘Okay, in five years, what do I want my life to look like? And then how do I make changes to aim at that?’” he recalled. “I don’t want to be the guy who’s on his own but was like, ‘Oh, I really did it.’ I want to be fulfilled, and I want to be in great relationships with people. I want to have great friendships with people. I want a family. I want these things. It just allowed me to go like, ‘Okay, what do I have to do to create space to allow these things to happen?’ I can’t just expect them to just happen to me.”
