For nearly two years, the dancers who performed alongside Taylor Swift were at the very center of The Eras Tour universe, one of the biggest tours in recent music history, which began on March 17, 2023 in Glendale, Arizona, and wrapped on December 8, 2024 in Vancouver, Canada.

The tour didn’t just bring Swift closer to millions of fans around the world. It also turned her dance crew into a key part of the show itself, appearing in every major choreography and performance night after night, becoming almost inseparable from the visual identity of the tour.

However, with the end of the tour, that bond began to shift and they now appear to be “moving on” from their time with Taylor. The dancers recently reappeared in a social media video as part of the promotion for the first-ever “Taylor Swift Night” in the history of American Idol, alongside comedian Nikki Glaser.

In the clip, Glaser was chosen as a guest judge for the episode due to being one of Swift’s biggest fans. Together with the dancers, she performed “So High School,” bringing part of the tour’s energy into a completely different setting.

The moment drew attention because it showed the same dancers who spent years closely tied to Swift now taking part in a television promotional appearance, revisiting elements of The Eras Tour but outside the stage that defined that era.

A tour that went beyond music

The Eras Tour also featured special guests like Gracie Abrams and Sabrina Carpenter, adding to its cultural impact in every city. Now that the tour has ended, these appearances feel like brief reunions of a group still connected by a shared history, even if no longer on the same stage.

So far, there are no signs that Taylor Swift will announce a new tour or that the dancers from The Eras Tour will join her in future performances.
