But mostly each other. Zombieland meets Bring It On in this life-or-death battle against a zombie outbreak and—perhaps more terrifyingly—teenagedom.”

His journey leads him and a group of friends, including Olivia (Andino), deep into a remote forest where they become trapped in a supernatural prison. Hunted by shadowy entities, the group is forced to confront both physical and psychological terror as they struggle to escape.”

Hot Spot

According to Bloody-Disgusting, The Lure director Agnieszka Smoczyńska’s dystopian sci-fi thriller about a “near future society ruled by sentient AI, where a private eye investigates a murder case, only to discover a rebel group capable of undermining the digital overlord” is now scheduled for an August 21 release through Focus Features.

Avengers: Doomsday

During a recent interview with Cinema Hub, Andy Serkis appeared to reveal his Animal Farm co-star Iman Vellani appears in Avengers: Doomsday.

The Last House/11817

According to Deadline, Louis Leterrier’s upcoming sci-fi thriller 11817 is now titled The Last House. Starring Greta Lee and Wagner Moura, the story concerns “a family of four who are suddenly sealed inside their home with no way out and must work together to survive against both their dwindling resources and the mysterious, looming threat keeping them trapped.”

Hallowarrior

Rue Morgue has a new photo of Hereditary‘s Milly Shapiro in Hallowarrior, a film about a “Halloween-obsessed post-apocalypse survivor who thinks she’s the last person alive. But when a vicious band of scavengers shows up at her doorstep on All Hallows’ Eve, Pumpkin has no choice but to tap into her deadliest survival instincts.” Shannyn Sossamon, Ajani Russell, and AJ Bowen co-star.

The Sheep Detectives

Amazon has also released two new clips from The Sheep Detectives, reportedly the best-reviewed film of Hugh Jackman’s entire career.

The X-Files

Finally, actor James Pickens, Jr. discussed the possibility of returning to The X-Files as FBI director Alvin Kersh in a new interview with Gold Derby.

We put the word out. I’d love to go back and do a cameo or something. I did the final seasons of it, and when they rebooted it, I got the chance to go back to Vancouver and work with David [Duchovny] and Gillian [Anderson] again. I’d love to see if I could peek in and bring Alvin Kersh back. I had a lot of fun doing it. [He’s] such a great character. You didn’t know if he was good or bad — until the finale when he helps them escape. I think he’s waiting for his next assignment, patiently.
