A magical concert viewing experience will bring the iconic worlds of Aardman animation to new life this weekend. Aardman in Concert will bring beloved characters, such as Wallace & Gromit, Shaun the Sheep, Morph, and more, to the big screen in a joyful celebration of British storytelling. And it’s soundtracked by a live orchestra in stunning environs.

Aardman in Concert will take over Cadogan Hall on Saturday, May 2, with two special screenings.

Each show is split up into two sections. The first half showcases iconic moments from Aardman’s 50 years of clay history. The montage sequence, boasting its own special score, will feature “Wallace & Gromit’s most daring escapades, Shaun the Sheep’s funniest moments, and appearances from characters that have become part of everyday family life.”

The second half will then treat audiences to a full screening of Wallace & Gromit: A Matter of Loaf and Death. Both halves are accompanied by a live orchestra.

You might even spot that some of the orchestra members have donned appropriately silly costumes for the concert. Can you spot Shaun the Sheep? Or perhaps Gromit? You might even see a block of Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese joining the live music performance!

Rachel Whibley, Managing Director of Carrot Productions, said:

“Celebrating 50 years of Aardman with our orchestra feels incredibly special. These are characters many of us grew up with, and now we’re seeing families bring their own children to experience them live. Bringing the show to Cadogan Hall, one of London’s most beautiful concert venues, makes it even more exciting.”

Molly Van Den Brink, Senior Attractions & Live Experiences Manager at Aardman added:

“What better way to continue our longstanding partnership with Carrot Productions than celebrating our 50th anniversary together, allowing fans of all ages the chance to experience our favourite Aardman moments from the last 50 years in such a joyful and uplifting concert, while introducing children to the wonder of a live orchestra.”
