Adam Scott and Damian McCarthy sit down with The Independent’s entertainment producer Eliza Ketcher to talk about their new folk horror film, Hokum.

We discuss how the film sees Scott back in his “a**hole era”, playing Ohm Bauman, a cynical, abrasive author who travels to a remote Irish inn to scatter his parents’ ashes, only to become entangled in a supernatural mystery.

We also look back at Scott’s career – from Step Brothers to The Good Place – and dive into what makes him so compelling as both a likeable lead and, as he puts it, “the perfect a**hole.”

Hokum is in cinemas from 1 May.
