The lineup for the 2026 edition of Celebrity Traitors has been announced.

Last year, the inaugural edition of the Celebrity Traitors premiered on BBC One, with talk show host (and Traitor) Alan Carr emerging as the eventual winner.

Following months of speculation, the BBC has now confirmed its roster for the forthcoming season of Celebrity Traitors, with comedians James Acaster, Joanne McNally, and Joe Lycett among the competitors.

There are several actors on the billing, including The Last of Us’s Bella Ramsey, The Damned United’s Michael Sheen, and Withnail and I’s Richard E Grant. Myha’la (Industry) and Sharon Rooney (Two Doors Down) will also feature.

Comedians Romesh Ranganathan and Rob Beckett, known for their repeat collaborations across British television, are both set to compete in the Celebrity Traitors this year.

There are also well-known musicians in the running, including former Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and “You’re Beautiful” singer James Blunt.

Fans have voiced enthusiastic approval of the lineup on social media, with some branding the roster “incredible” and “amazing”.

In the series, which will launch on BBC One later in 2026, the contestants are secretly divided into “Faithfuls” and “Traitors”.

The latter group, initially comprising three people, must convince the rest of the group they are Faithfuls, while making it through a series of tense “banishment” votes.

Last year, the first season of Celebrity Traitors saw Carr selected as a Traitor alongside TV presenter Jonathan Ross, and musician Cat Burns.

The series was praised for the calibre of its celebrity contestants, with the Faithfuls including names such as Stephen Fry, Nick Mohammed, Clare Balding and Celia Imrie.
