Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s reconciliation with the Royal Family has come under scrutiny. TalkTV presenter Jeremy Kyle, 60, addressed claims the Duke of Sussex is missing his former role in the UK and is “desperate” to reconcile with King Charles.
During Monday’s edition of his breakfast show, the presenter was joined by royal commentator, Michael Bell, who delved into the Harry and Meghan’s life in Montecito, California. Michael explained: “It’s very apparent how much Prince Harry misses this country. Misses his friends, misses his way of life here.
California is wonderful but it is more of less the same weather everyday. The same people everyday. And unless you are deeply involved in the entertainment industry, it can be rather boring.”
He continued: “Over here, there is diversity. He loves the sports, loves the rugby. He loves everything. And his friends are here. There is not doubt he misses it.
“He desperately wants a reconciliation with his father.”
The royal expert suggested while that could be possible, it as an “absolute no, no” for his brother, the Prince of Wales.
Host Jeremy questioned if the couple could go their separate ways.
Michael dismissed the idea, and despite it being Meghan’s second marriage, he argued Americans are known for being “serial monogamists”.
He explained: “They have several marriages and they move on and change their lives. That’s part of the American Dream. The pursuit of happiness.”
The royal commentator said he is hopeful their marriage will stand the test of time.
“One hopes the marriage endures,” he remarked. “Because people hate to see divorce. People get damaged in that. It’s very, very difficult for the children.”
Harry and Meghan tied the knot back in 2018 but rumours have been swirling that the pair’s relationship has become strained.
Michael’s comments comes just days after Meghan and Harry returned to the US from a four-day visit in Australia.
The couple, who travelled without their children, visited Australia to carry out various joint and solo engagements.
