Members of the royal family have long been known for their love of cricket – and it seems the passion is now being passed down to the younger generation.
King Charles, when he was Prince of Wales, often played in cricket matches, following in the footsteps of his father, Prince Philip, who was known to be keen on the sport.
It’s something the youngest royals have picked up, as both Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis were seen playing the sport in their recent birthday videos.
The Princess of Wales, meanwhile, has taken it on even while wearing high heels, challenging Prince William and Prince Harry to fierce competition.

While Louis prefers batting, Princess Charlotte was seen expertly bowling a cricket ball in a video shared for her 11th birthday on Saturday.
Writing for The Times, former England player Michael Atherton said the young princess had a “straight arm” and “nice run up”, making for “decent bowling action”.
He added: “It’s great to see a female royal who loves cricket.”

Kate was still wearing her heels and a fitted red suit as she picked up a yellow cricket bat, and William tried his hand at bowling.
Even with her heels on, she managed to return two out of four deliveries, much to the delight of the crowd.
