Viewers on Netflix and BBC are thrilled following the unveiling of the first glimpse at one of 2026’s most eagerly awaited returning series.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, adapted from Holly Jackson’s book series, initially debuted on iPlayer and BBC Three in July 2024 before arriving on Netflix.

Enthusiasts of the programme, which was once more shot on location in Bristol and Somerset, will be able to watch the gripping second season on either platform from Wednesday, 27th May.

In advance of the much-anticipated premiere, a fresh trailer has dropped, offering a tantalising preview of another captivating mystery for amateur detective Pip Fitz-Amobi (portrayed by Emma Myers) to solve.

The second season continues with Pip and Ravi (Zain Iqbal) following their successful investigation into missing pupil Andie Bell (India Lillie Davies) as Max Hastings (Henry Ashton) awaits trial, reports the Mirror.

Yet, while Pip yearns to return to her peaceful existence in Little Kilton, Connor’s (Jude Morgan-Collie) elder brother, Jamie (Eden H Davies), a crucial witness in Max’s trial, unexpectedly vanishes.

A synopsis for the six-episode continuation hints: “With the clock ticking and the stakes higher than ever, Pip and the group are thrust into a desperate, heart-pounding race to find him before it’s too late.

“As the search intensifies, Pip is pushed to her absolute limit, forced to face a terrifying reality, will she be able to save Jamie in time?”

Author Jackson is leading the adaptation alongside showrunner Poppy Cogan, drawing inspiration from the second instalment in the bestselling series, Good Girl, Bad Blood.
