MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – The 29th Annual Tellurian Celebrity Golf Tournament is coming up in two weeks.

Tellurian’s programs help people struggling with homelessness, addiction and mental illness.

“Our waiting list is long for all three,” Tellurian CEO Kevin Florek said. “The need for people with mental illness issues, addiction issues and homelessness issues are long and the funding for these programs gets less and less every year, so we are in dire straits in our communities.”

Tellurian doesn’t offer detox anymore, but we still have roughly 20 programs and a full continuum of mental health and addiction services that they offer throughout Wisconsin.

“We miss having that care, but we are still there serving thousands of people here in the state of Wisconsin,” Florek said.

To help with the support, Tellurian accepts donations and also uses the golf tournament as a fundraiser as well.

The tournament will take place at Trappers Turn Golf Club in Wisconsin Dells on Wednesday, May 20.

Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre and comedian Frank Caliendo will make an appearance.
