While Nicole Kidman was one of the co-chairs of the 2026 Met Gala, it seems she didn’t speak with everyone. In fact, insiders claim she completely avoided speaking with Hugh Jackman and his girlfriend, Sutton Foster.
Insiders claimed to Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack that Kidman avoided them out of loyalty to Jackman’s ex-wife Deborra Lee-Furness.

“Nicole is firmly Team Deb. She believes Deb was deeply hurt by how everything unfolded, and Nicole isn’t interested in pretending otherwise just because Hugh showed up with a new woman on his arm,” they said. “Deb’s ‘betrayal’ comment was not forgotten in Hollywood. A lot of people close to her feel Hugh did her wrong, and Nicole is one of the friends who has stayed incredibly protective.”
They added, “She didn’t want drama. But she also wasn’t going to play happy families for the cameras.”

For those who don’t know, Jackman and Furness married in April 1996, after meeting on the show Correlli the year prior. They adopted two children named Oscar Maximillian, born in May 2000, and Ava Eliot, born in July 2005.
Sadly, the pair called it quits after 27 years together, and separated in Sept 2023. They have yet to officially file for divorce, allegedly due to no prenup being in place. Then, Jackman and Foster’s relationship allegedly began as an affair in 2022. Per a bombshell November 2024 report in Us Weekly, Jackman and Foster’s alleged affair seemingly caused his divorce from Furness.
