Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja have named their second child, son, Rudralokh. While the family seems to be shortening it to Rudra as of now, the actress revealed the source of where it came from as well as how he remains connected to his elder brother, Vayu. She also dropped some new photos of the couple and their two children.

Sonam Kapoor has officially revealed her secondborn’s name to the world. In a new post shared on her Instagram account, the actress penned a long note about the source and meaning behind his name and dropped some never-before-seen glimpses at her happy family.
Here’s what Sonam Kapoor has named her uu second son, “In the spirit of the divine force that has once again transformed our lives.
Born on the sacred day of Ekadashi, under Vishnu’s grace, our second son feels like a sign, a karmic alignment, a divine pairing with his brother, and a blessing we deeply honour. With love and gratitude, we welcome Rudralokh Kapoor Ahuja.”
Sharing the origin of the grandiose name of her kid and how she came to name him Rudra, the actress revealed a deep connection with her beliefs. “In the Vedas, Rudra, from the root rud, “to roar,” is the mightiest of the mighty. The one who eradicates suffering at its source, the divine force behind storms, breath, healing, and renewal.”
That wasn’t all, the moniker also carries an interwoven relation to his older brother, rightly named Vayu. “He is deeply connected to Vayu, the prana that moves through all beings. Our firstborn carries the name of Vishnu, the sustainer of life. With Rudra, a sacred continuity emerges. Breath and power. Preservation and transformation. One strengthening the other. Like his name, may Rudra grow to be fearless, compassionate, deeply aware, and a force of strength and light. With gratitude for your love and blessings, Sonam, Anand, Vayu, and Rudra,” said the 40-year-old.
