Round 1, fight! Mortal Kombat II and The Devil Wears Prada 2 are duking it out to be the number one sequel at the box office this weekend. Mortal Kombat II’s advantage is that it’s a new movie, so plenty of people would want to watch it, especially if they’re fans of the game. However, this is Mother’s Day weekend, so a golden opportunity to either rewatch Miranda Presley slay another day or finally get a chance to see it for the first time as a holiday outing. Both movies are projected to earn $42 million domestically this weekend, with Prada’s two-week box office approaching $141 million overall. It’s basically going to be down to the wire to find out who gets served a fatality, or if we have to find out who wins in round two. Either way, fight, fight, fight!
