Several celebrities marked Mother’s Day on Sunday by sharing personal messages and family photographs on social media. The posts ranged from tributes to mothers who shaped their lives to notes on motherhood itself. Actors Anupam Kher, Sanjay Dutt, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Kajol and Richa Chadha among others marked the occasion.
Some actors shared old photographs, while others posted videos and short notes. Together, the posts offered a glimpse into how film personalities chose to mark the day.
Anupam Kher shared a Mother’s Day tribute for his mother, Dulari, and wrote about maternal sacrifice, intuition and unconditional love. He described motherhood as a force that shapes a person every day, writing, “Maa sirf janam nahi deti, wo humein harr din thoda-thoda banati hai.” (A mother doesn’t just give birth… she builds us a little bit every day) (sic).”
He also wrote about the sacrifices mothers make for their children, saying a mother “apne hisse ki neend, khushiyan, icchayein or kabhi kabhi poora jeevan tak chip chap humare naam kar deti hai… (she quietly dedicates her share of sleep, happiness, desires, and sometimes her entire life to us) (sic).
Sanjay Dutt remembered his late mother Nargis Dutt with rare black and white pictures from his childhood. In the caption, he wrote, “Mumma, I miss you. I wish you were here with me. Your love and blessings are always with me. Love you mom (sic).”
In one of the pictures, his sisters Priya Dutt and Namrata Dutt were also seen with Nargis. Nargis died in 1981, days before Sanjay made his Bollywood debut with Rocky.

Bobby and Sunny Deol also posted for their mother, Prakash Kaur. Bobby wrote, “No matter how old I get, I’ll always be your little boy. Happy Mother’s Day my precious Maa (sic).” Sunny shared a compilation of photos and videos as an Instagram reel and wrote, “Love you mama (sic).”

Kajol shared a photo with her mother Tanuja and wrote, “We are both part of the #mothersclub, but she is presiding chairman and CEO.. bowing down to the one and only #mymom ! She is my Kali, Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati all rolled into one. Even the goddess knows that (sic).”
