And the Bafta goes to…

It’s the most prestigious, not to mention glamorous, night of
the year for UK television.

Stars including Alan Carr, Ashley Walters and Claudia
Winkleman are getting ready for the 2026 Bafta TV Awards, which are being held
at London’s Royal Festival Hall.

And they, and us, will be eager to see who will be taking
home the big prizes. Netflix’s mega hit Adolescence leads the nominations with
11, followed by A Thousand Blows, which has seven nods.

Stephen Graham picks up a nomination for leading actor for
his role in Adolescence, in a strong category which also includes Colin Forth,
Elis Howard, James Nelson-Joyce, Matt Smith and Taron Egerton.

Erin Doherty also appears in Adolescence, but her leading
actress nomination comes for her role in A Thousand Blows. She’s up against
Aimee Lou Wood, Jodie Whittaker, Narges Rashidi, Sheridan Smith and Sian
Brooke.

Now, before we get going… Spoiler alert!

We will be covering the ceremony right here from 16:30 BST
until 19:30. But it won’t be broadcast on BBC One, iPlayer and this page until
19:00 BST.

So, we’ll be posting live updates of who has won what before
winner are revealed on TV later.

But if you are looking for some Bafta content to get you in
the mood ahead of the ceremony, our culture team will be reporting live from the red carpet as all the stars arrive.
