Katie Price’s husband Lee Andrews has denied claims he was detained in Dubai – and once again declared he’s flying to the UK.

Katie and Lee, who tied the knot in Dubai back in January, were due on Tuesday (May 12) to make their first TV appearance together on ITV’s Good Morning Britain. However, he pulled out of the interview just hours before the show was due to be broadcast live from London.

Katie was left “gutted” after Lee, who lives in Dubai, failed to arrive in the UK and she ended up doing the interview alone. She told hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls that Lee had missed his flight due to work commitments.

GMB confirmed Lee had failed to board a flight to the UK. Lee had sent GMB a video of himself at the airport the day prior, where he showed his passport.

Ed Balls explained that ITV had asked if Lee was subject to a travel ban and that a spokesperson for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office stated that a British national had been detained in the United Arab Emirates, something Katie denied, claiming she had spoken to Lee.

Lee, who has denied being subject to a travel ban, has also spoken out and insisted he hasn’t been detailed. In an Instagram Story video, he said: “I didn’t make the Good Morning Britain, I am not detained, I am in the airport in Muscat, Oman.

“I’m gonna put on my police app, and I was just on the phone to Kate just after her interview, showing that I don’t have any travel bans because I’ve already left the UAE so, yeah guys, wasn’t me who was detained. I don’t know who they called the Foreign Office or Home Office. Is there a Brit that’s been detained? Definitely not me, OK, here I am, here I am with my passport, yeah, it’s not me.”

In another video, Mr Andrews praised his wife and said: “Yes, I’m at the airport and I’m flying to my wife, who did very well on Good Morning Britain today. I’m on my way to her. I had a couple of things I had to do last-minute. Couldn’t make the show. I was hoping to get on there over the Zoom link but they just carried on with Kate, which who did really well and fantastic.

“So no one was detained, I don’t know where that came from. There’s obviously a lot of police in the airport, CID, cameras, everything. Definitely not a wanted man. Can’t wait to get to my wife.

Addressing Katie, he added: “I’m really looking forward to seeing you Katie. I love you so much. I’m on my way to you. Sorry that I got delayed and I couldn’t make the show, guys, but we’ll get on the sofa soon. Anyway, I love you all. Keep it real, all of you. Don’t listen to any noise, I’m definitely not someone who’s been detained or who’s wanted.”

Lee recently claimed to have already visited the UK and met Katie’s eldest son, Harvey, as well as Princess and Junior. However, a representative for Katie confirmed that this was not true.
