Raw GM Adam Pearce was dead set on firing Jacob Fatu at the start of tonight’s (May 18) episode of Raw, and he let Roman Reigns know as much when the OTC arrived at the building.

Before that could happen, though, Jacob Fatu stormed down to the ring and dared the world champion to come out and fight him.

The Usos hit the ring first. Jimmy couldn’t talk any sense into Fatu about saving his job by acknowledging Roman as his Tribal Chief. Jey tried a very different approach by blasting Fatu with a steel chair. The Samoan Werewolf proceeded to no-sell the blow and destroy the Usos all by himself.

That brought out the OTC, whose Superman Punch was countered by the Tongan Death Grip. The Usos were back in the fight at that point, and it took all three members of The Bloodline to finally put Jacob down.

Roman gave the nod of approval for Adam Pearce to fire Fatu at that point. That’s when Jacob got on the mic and issued a challenge to Reigns for Tribal Combat. Roman accepted, and the WWE commentators talked as if the match will go down on May 31 at Clash In Italy. So it appears that Jacob Fatu did find a way to save his job, at least for now.

The last time we saw Tribal Combat was on Raw’s Netflix debut when Roman Reigns beat Solo Sikoa, won back the Ula Fala, and was embraced by The Rock. Will Roman dominate Tribal Combat again in Italy, or is Jacob Fatu about to turn WWE upside down by becoming the new Tribal Chief? Either way, a match of this magnitude is sure to be the main event of the PLE over WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs. GUNTHER.
