May 7, 2026; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA; Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Dan Vladar (80) makes a save against the Carolina Hurricanes during the second period in game three of the second round of the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs at Xfinity Mobile Arena.

Steve Martorano is a celebrity chef from South Philly. You may recognize him from his spots on Jimmy Kimmel:

    YouTube video

Or from his renowned restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, which draws the biggest celebrities from every corner of the globe:

Or from his brand’s powerful online presence:

This Martorano is not to be confused with the other Steve Martorano, who used to be on 610 WIP back in the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s. Different guys. I’m talking about the “Yo Cuz” one.

This Martorano is many things, which makes him difficult to adequately describe. Trying to crystallize the man in a short bio is a tall task. But the headline is about Dan Vladar, and it appears Martorano may have been the first to report that the Flyers are extending their top goaltender, which has not been reported anywhere else yet. They re-signed Aleksei Kolosov on a one-year deal, and Vladar has one more year on his current contract, but none of the big insiders have reported a new deal, which brings us to this:

Shortly after this Instagram post went up, it vanished – deleted from his page. But I’d bet the Flyers announce that they’re re-signing Vladar any day now. Of course Vladar is coming back. The Flyers aren’t going to let him leave, and he doesn’t seem to want to leave anyway. It wouldn’t make sense. All signs point to this outcome.

Steve “Yo Cuz” Martorano is many things, but a liar is not one of them.
