Prince Harry could reunite with King Charles in just two months but people have warned him it might not go as he expects. The prince is set to return to the UK in a visit that could see him meet his father again, amid growing reports Prince Harry wants to rejoin the monarchy.

Closer magazine reports that it is not likely Meghan Markle will be by his side for the visit and will instead stay at home in Montecito, California. An insider says: “Harry wants to come to Charles with all these demands on behalf of Meghan.”

The person continued: “But people are warning him that’s not going to go over well with his father.”

The King did not visit the Sussexes during his US trip with Queen Camilla last month.

It has been reported that King Charles has his “hopes” set on a reunion with Harry and his grandchildren, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, four.

According to Closer, the insider adds: “Harry is well aware that he’s treading a fine line here, in terms of moving forward and keeping his relationship with the King whilst showing Meghan via his actions that he’s still respecting her and the life they’ve built together first and foremost.

“The last thing he’s prepared to do is disrespect or dishonour her in any way.”

The Sussexes have not visited the UK as a family since 2022, when they all came back for the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

Harry and Meghan made another trip to the UK that year, a few months later, to attend the late Queen’s funeral.

A source told Radar Online: “Charles is at the point where he wants to forgive Harry and find a path forward, but William simply won’t hear of it, no matter what his father says.

“It’s become a huge battle because William carries enormous influence behind the scenes.

“And the truth is, many within the Firm still believe Harry and Meghan are toxic – so Charles doesn’t have much support when it comes to welcoming them back.”
