Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might’ve lost their luster.
According to commentator Kinsey Schofield, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex aren’t viewed favorably by the public anymore after their dramatic exit from the royal family.
“We see them as these very bitter and unhappy people,” the expert said during an appearance on GB News.
“Because they came out guns blazing and they were so negative at the start, we are having a hard time forgiving them for that,” Schofield claimed.
In an effort to maintain their perfect image, Meghan shared multiple never-before-seen photos from her and Harry’s wedding to mark their eighth anniversary.
“I think that the ultimate objective is to prove that they are living happily ever after,” Schofield noted.
The reporter also noted that the pair’s brand of “lovey-dovey philanthropy” no longer resonates with their audience.
Following their 2020 departure from England, Harry and Meghan began speaking out about their negative experiences as senior working members of the family.
“In those months when I was pregnant [with Prince Archie]… we have in tandem the conversation of, ‘He won’t be given security. He’s not going to be given a title,’ and also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he’s born,” the mother of two told Oprah Winfrey during the duo’s bombshell 2021 interview.
“There were several conversations about it,” she claimed. “I think that would be very damaging to them. That was relayed to me from Harry. Those were conversations that his family had with him. It was really hard to be able to see those as compartmentalized conversations.”
Despite slamming the monarchy, Harry and Meghan continued to use their titles for business purposes.
“I think she does want the validation, but she also wants to continue to coast off the royal titles,” commentator Samara Gill said during an appearance on Sky News.
“I think that’s been one of the most d****** and heartbreaking things for the royal family to have to witness — her secretly using some of the titles in letter headings and then them finding out about it,” she noted.
“She’s obsessed with the royal family and she’s obsessed with the cash grab that she can make off it,” Gill added.
