‘Danny Go!’ star Daniel Coleman announces son’s death
Daniel Coleman, star of child entertainment series “Danny Go!,” announced the death of his 14-year-old son following a battle with cancer.
Child entertainment star Daniel Coleman, also known as Danny Go, has made a somber announcement.
In an Instagram post made on Friday, May 22, Coleman shared that his 14-year-old son Isaac died on Thursday, May 21 after a battle with stage 3 mouth cancer.
“Oh my sweet boy. There’s so much I want to say, but I don’t know how yet. I already miss you so much, and the pain in my heart is far more than I can process,” Coleman wrote in his post. “But looking through thousands of pictures and videos this past week, I’m also filled with tremendous pride. Your 14 years were full of so many challenges, but you met them all with such grit … and you somehow kept your trademark joy in spite of it all. You truly had a spark like no other, Isaac! Remembering how loved you were and how full of life your time here was gives me great comfort. Being your dad was the honor of a lifetime. I’m so proud of you and I love you forever. Rest peacefully, son.”
Fellow child entertainment star Ms. Rachel took to Instagram on May 22 to share her condolences.
“Hi wonderful parent and caregiver community,” she wrote, “Please send so much love and so many thoughts and prayers to Danny Go and his beautiful family. We are so sorry for their loss and are thinking about their son’s amazing joy and their immense pride.”
Coleman first announced Isaac’s cancer diagnosis in an Instagram post in December 2025, sharing that it was bound to be a “near certainty” with Isaac’s Fanconi anemia.
Fanconi anemia is a rare inherited condition that occurs when certain genes mutate, stunting bone marrow from making blood cells and platelets, according to the Cleveland Clinic. Babies with Fanconi anemia may present physical differences at birth and later, may have bone marrow failure syndrome, which can lead to blood cancer or blood disorders. Children can also develop cancerous tumors earlier than those without the condition.
Coleman also shared in the December update that during scans, doctors discovered brain spots, which indicated potential degenerative nerve issue, which coincided with mobility issues Isaac experienced at the time.
In a January Instagram post, Coleman shared that Isaac was recovering from cancer removal surgery. The cancer had spread more than doctors expected, resulting in the removal of several of Isaac’s teeth and a “significant amount of mouth tissue,” he wrote.
By early February, Isaac was back at home in recovery but the Colemans had learned his cancer was in stage 3, breaching stage 4. Around the same time, Coleman canceled his scheduled 2026 “Danny Go!” tour to prioritize time with family.
