Meghan Markle has reportedly concluded Prince Harry is “the problem” and is attempting to “branch off,” according to reports.
Since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appear to have conducted most of their non-royal engagements as a pair. Nevertheless, in recent years, they have started undertaking more independent work. This trend is expected to continue, with reports indicating that Meghan believes she will earn “more money” without Harry accompanying her. She was spotted on an independent trip in Geneva just last week, with reports claiming she was the one who decided Harry should remain at home in Montecito.
This is because Meghan reportedly considers Harry “a problem,” as his public appearances spark headlines related to royal controversy, which includes Meghan reportedly exploiting the royal title for a “cash grab.”
Royal expert Rob Shuter stated on Maureen Callahan’s The Nerve podcast, “Meghan has now decided that, my sources are telling me, she now believes that she is more powerful. She’s gonna make more money by stepping forward by herself, not with him. She’s a problem, too. She hasn’t quite got to that point, but she knows there’s a problem with Harry.”
In an article for his substack, Rob Shuter said his sources informed him, “Whenever Harry appears beside her, everything becomes about royal drama, and family feuds. Meghan wanted the spotlight on her work, not the chaos surrounding the Royal Family.”

Despite potentially pursuing more individual rather than joint public appearances, the couple appear to remain a united front on a personal level.
Just last week, the pair marked their 8th wedding anniversary, appearing as devoted to each other as ever.
