EXCLUSIVE: Verve and Conway van Gelder Grant have signed English actor Luke Newton (Bridgerton) for representation in the U.S. and U.K., respectively.
Newton is best known for his leading role as Colin Bridgerton in Netflix’s global hit series Bridgerton, where he stars opposite Nicola Coughlan, with production currently underway on the show’s fifth season.
Prior to joining the original cast of Bridgerton, Newton was a series regular in Disney Channel’s The Lodge and appeared in Mr Selfridge for the BBC. He began his career on stage as part of the original West End cast of The Book of Mormon.
Most recently, Newton originated the starring role of Alexander McQueen in the Off-Broadway production House of McQueen in New York City. He also starred opposite Amber Anderson in The Shape of Things at London’s Park Theatre, in a critically acclaimed and sold-out run.
Upcoming, Newton will be seen opposite Lucy Hale in White Mars, an Antarctic-set sci-fi horror film from director Martin Owen. He also recently completed recording a lead voice role in the animated feature Viana: The Legend of Golden Hearts, opposite Daniela Melchior.
