    If you’re looking for spring break camps for your child, look no further! Parks & Rec will offer everything from skate camp, to golf, robotics, as well as some fun weeklong indoor/outdoor camps and more that your child is sure to enjoy. Keep reading to learn about some of the camps offered during the week of spring break.

    Let’s Go Skate Camp

    Does your child love to be on wheels? Skateboarding camp is an exciting, action-packed program designed for kids and teens eager to learn or improve their skateboarding skills. Whether your child is a beginner or an experienced skater, this camp offers a supportive and fun environment to master tricks, enhance balance, and gain confidence on the board all led by experienced instructors. Beyond skating, the camp fosters teamwork, discipline, and a love for the sport, making it a perfect adventure for aspiring skaters. Skateboards, safety pads, and helmets are required for this class! The camp will be held at Veterans Memorial Park, Monday, April 14 to Thursday, April 17, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day. Click here to register.

    Beginner Archery Camp

    Kids ages 7 to 15 can learn the safe and effective way to handle and shoot recurve and compound bows during our beginner archery camp. Training is provided by USA Archery Certified Instructors. All equipment is provided. There are two locations and date options for archery camp. For archery camp at Lake Ridge Park, Monday to Wednesday April 14 to 16, 9 to 11 a.m., click here.     First Tee Golf Camp

    Golf is one of the most diverse and inclusive activities available. In this camp held at Lake Ridge Park, instructors will work with your child on golf fundamentals such as making your best swing, rules, etiquette, and course management. This is all tied in with life skills such as honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, and respect. Your child will learn the game of a lifetime and meet some new friends along the way. Camp runs Monday to Thursday, April 14 to 17, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Register today.

    Robotics and Visual Coding Camp

    Both younger kids and teens will enjoy this camp, divided into two separate sessions for each age group. Kids ages 5 to 8 will use the Lego Education WeDo software and kids ages 9 to 14 will use Lego Mindstorms Ev3. Both camp sessions will be held at Veterans Memorial Park.

    Jr. Lego robotics for ages 5 to 8 combines the exciting world of Lego with programming to manipulate and program your own personal robots. This class is tailored to younger children who want to learn the basics of visual programming. Students create commands for their robots to follow by using an application with a drag-and-drop interface that is visually simple to use, but capable of complex instructions. Students will also learn the importance of teamwork by working together with a partner in order to accomplish the build assignment for the day. This camp will be held Monday to Friday, April 14 to 18, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.. Click here to register.

    The camp for kids ages 9 to 14 will use Lego Mindstorms Ev3 Base Set and Software. This Lego robotics class combines the exciting world of Lego with programming to manipulate and program your own personal robot. They will learn how to use the simple, but powerful software to create commands with drag and-drop visual programming. Configure different sensors that track motion, light, and touch to create the ultimate robot! Students will work together as a small team of young engineers to build and program their designs. This class is great for children who are hands on and like working together in small teams. Camp will be held Monday to Friday, April 14 to 18, from 1 to 4 p.m. Register today.

    Vets Spring Break Camp

    Vets Spring Break Camp is an exciting and engaging program designed for kids and teens to make the most of their time off from school. Filled with a variety of fun activities, the camp offers everything from arts and crafts, sports, and outdoor games to themed adventures, science experiments, and creative projects. Each day is packed with opportunities for learning new skills, making friends, and enjoying the spring weather in a safe and supportive environment. Led by experienced staff, Vets Spring Break Camp provides the perfect balance of fun, adventure, and personal growth, ensuring a memorable and enriching break from school.     Chinn Spring Break Camp

    Spring Break Camp (April 14 to 18) will be held at the Chinn Aquatics & Fitness Center! Your student will have the opportunity to participate in supervised camp games, activities and crafts and swimming at our indoor pool. Camp runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
