TULSA, Okla. — A documentary about Turkey Mountain will be screened at the Philbrook Museum of Art on Friday.
The documentary Forest In A City was created from Tulsa, for Tulsa, by Tulsa, organizers said.
After the screening, a post film talk will be held with guests including Jeff Edwards of the River Parks Authority and Chris Azbell, Land Extension Coordinator at the College of Muscogee Nation.
As an urban wilderness, organizers said Turkey Mountain is coveted for generations for its resource-rich extraction economy, recreation opportunities, and commercial development potential.
Organizers said an unsung and unusual collection of Tulsans set out to preserve what holds them together.
If you would like to attend the screening, it will cost $10 for members, with members under 17-years-old being free.
Non-member adults will have to pay $15 and $10 for non-member youth.
Organizers said capacity is limited and advance tickets are recommended.
The screening will take place in the Patti Johnson Wilson Auditorium at 7 p.m.. Guests can visit the front desk for directions.
