Laura Whitmore has confirmed the arrival of her second child with husband Iain Stirling. The former Love Island presenter shared the happy news today in a sweet Instagram post, confirming the newborn arrived early last month.

Posting a picture of the baby’s hand on her chest, Laura wrote: “A new player has entered the game! We welcomed the most precious baby last month, unexpectedly early and with dramatic flair (wouldn’t expect anything else).

“I had made a 5 hour birthing playlist this time.. only played about 3 songs – ended up using it post birth. It’s a reaaally good playlist, can somebody please use it. Been enjoying baby smells, lack of sleep and scrumptious hands and wrists.”

Iain himself has also posted about his new baby, resharing Laura’s post in his Instagram Stories with “just the best x”, while also posting a sweet picture of mini knitwear emblazoned with the words “littlest living legend” on his main page.

“Say hello to our newest living legend,” he added in the comments. “I always wanted someone in the house who would stay up late and watch the World Cup with me. But this feels a little excessive.”

The couple have also shared hearts on each others’ respective posts, while many followers sent over congratulatory messages.

“Ah congratulations!!!” wrote singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor, while presenter Zoe Ball echoed: “Ahhh congratulations to you wonderful folk.”

“Omg!!! Your friends are very trustworthy let me tell you . Congratulations,” posted actor Denise Welch, while Denise van Outen said: “Congratulations to you all aww, beautiful.”

Laura and Iain previously welcomed a daughter in 2021, the latter revealing soon after that he nearly missed the arrival after being sent to get a Lucozade, while the couple tied the knot in 2020.

Since her departure from Love Island a few years ago, Laura has expanded her career into the world of acting.

“It’s quite cool watching your wife be really good at her thing,” Iain previously told OK! of the career change. “It’s sexy – watching her being really brilliant at a skill. I just love seeing her do it.”
