Spider-Man: Brand New Day will mark a return to form for everyone’s favorite wall-crawler. After witnessing Peter Parker fight alongside two of his multiversal variants, he’ll now be the star of a personal, street-level storyline. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige stated that Brand New Day will be the first Marvel Cinematic Universe film to focus on “classic elements of Spider-Man”, such as Peter Parker living in a small apartment and using the police scanner to know where villains strike.

But despite the fact that Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be a more grounded movie than its predecessor, that doesn’t mean it won’t be larger in scope. MCU antiheroes such as Hulk and the Punisher are bound to make an appearance, and rumor has it that Yelena Belova will also join them. Furthermore, multiple different villains are set to wreak havoc in New York, including The Hand, Tombstone, Scorpion, Tarantula, and Boomerang. As if that wasn’t enough, it has been heavily rumored (and reported) that we’ll also see a new version of Jean Grey introduced on the big screen.

Since Spider-Man: Brand New Day will have so many moving pieces, fans were starting to worry it could be too crowded for its own good, similar to what happened with The Amazing Spider-Man 2. As such, the film’s runtime is key to ensuring all these different characters and storylines have enough time to share the spotlight. Better yet, we finally have an idea of how long the wall-crawler’s upcoming adventure may be.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day will reportedly have a runtime of 2 hours and 25 minutes

In just under two months, Spider-Man: Brand New Day will finally come our way. As such, a few theaters already have a dedicated page for the upcoming MCU film, and the runtime is listed on them. According to Shaw Theatres, Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be 2 hours and 25 minutes long. Furthermore, Cineworld indicates the movie will have a running time of 150 minutes, or 2 hours and 30 minutes.

For comparison, the longest Spider-Man movie ever made to date is No Way Home, which clocks in at 2 hours and 28 minutes. That means Brand New Day could either be the second-longest wall-crawler adventure on the big screen, falling behind by just three minutes, or it could take the crown away from its predecessor by two minutes.

Although Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to have many different villains, it’s been confirmed that the movie will feature an opening montage. Furthermore, it has been reported that we’ll see Spidey face no shortage of bad guys during this sequence, which is meant to show what the hero has been up to since the end of No Way Home.

There’s a chance that villains like Tarantula and Boomerang only show up in the film’s opening montage, with the rest of the screentime being dedicated to other foes like Scorpion (whom audiences are already familiar with thanks to Spider-Man: Homecoming), Tombstone, and The Hand.

With fewer antagonists to fight for the viewers’ attention, Peter Parker, Bruce Banner, Frank Castle, and Jean Grey could all have their chance to steal the spotlight. All things considered, it seems there’s plenty of time to tell a large, ambitious street-level story.

Tickets for Spider-Man: Brand New Day will reportedly go on sale on June 26, so perhaps that’s also when the movie’s official runtime will be revealed. Furthermore, it’s likely that Sony will release new footage for the occasion, incentivizing audiences to reserve their seats for the premiere day. That means the future is bright for Spider-Man fans, and we can’t wait to see how it all pans out.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released on Jul. 31, 2026.
