Thousands of people have braved the rain and wind for day one of Summer Fest at the Beach.

The festival on Weston-super-Mare Beach majors on noughties nostalgia, with the likes of Craig David, Dizzee Rascal and Blue performing over the weekend.

Saturday’s line-up features Five, Dizzee Rascal and Scouting for Girls, among other artists, but many have chosen to perform shorter sets because of the weather, and Sophie Ellis-Bextor chose not to perform at all because of the adverse conditions.

Strong gusting winds in the afternoon also led to some breaks between performances.
