A German Shepherd had to be rescued after floating out to sea off the coast of Northumberland. The Coastguard had begun a search following a call that a kayak had been blown in strong winds. Farne Island boat skipper spotted the dog and managed to rescue it, and reunited it with it’s owners.

      Such a cute pupper!! So happy they found it but I have questions – was the doggo alone in the kayak when it got swept away? Is the doggo’s human okay?

      That dog has to have some cat in him because nine lives were necessary to get him safely back to shore. Glad he made it, but it was just so unlikely!

      Despite how cute those videos with dogs/cats on their owners’ boats are, I am way too paranoid to bring any of my pets to the ocean.

      Being lost at sea is scary enough for a human, I can’t imagine how it feels for the poor puppy.

      How did they locate him? I have always heard that it’s incredibly difficult to find someone adrift in the ocean. Was there gps involved, or did her get incredibly lucky?
