Back in November, we reported that our insiders said discussions had taken place about a Marvel vs. DC project involving Zack Snyder and the Russo Brothers.
We called it a long shot at the time, but said the timing lined up.
Well, it just lined up a lot more.
Update: Hours after this article was published, Zack Snyder broke a week-long Instagram silence with a Justice League post captioned “The League United,” set to “The Foundation Theme” from the ZSJL score. Full details here.

Zack Snyder went quiet on Instagram for a full week. When he came back, he didn’t post Batman. He didn’t post Superman….
Turki Alalshikh’s Company Pins DC vs Marvel Post
The latest comes through Turki Alalshikh, the Saudi entertainment chief with 41.4 million Instagram followers, the man producing Zack Snyder’s Brawlers, and the head of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority.
He is also tied to the bigger picture we have been reporting on, as Saudi Arabia’s PIF is investing $10 billion into the Paramount-WBD acquisition that our insiders say will bring the SnyderVerse back.
Here is where it gets interesting.
The DC vs Marvel post credits @rozammedia. Rozam Media is not some random fan account. It is Turki Alalshikh’s own production company. He founded it.
‘Rozam’ is his personal nickname. He founded Rozam Media, his production company specializing in film, television, and music. Rozam Media fully financed his horror film The Cello starring Jeremy Irons, Zack Snyder’s choice to play Alfred.
So we are not talking about a random comic book meme page chasing engagement. We are talking about the Instagram page for a Saudi production company owned by the man, reportedly worth close to $3 billion, who runs entertainment for Saudi Arabia, is already producing movies with Zack Snyder, and is tied to the same country that is putting billions behind the Paramount-WBD deal.
And the first pinned post on @rozammedia? A DC vs Marvel graphic.
Turki also liked it from his personal account.
The post is dated April 14, 2025, seven months before our insiders told us in November 2025 that discussions about a DC vs Marvel project had taken place.

Turki Is Personally Engaging With Comic Book Movie Content
This does not look like someone casually scrolling past superhero content.

Zack Snyder just shared another treasure trove from his time in the DCEU, and this time it’s loaded with deep cuts. Over…
Turki has not just liked the DC vs Marvel post. He has also liked several other @rozammedia posts about major franchises, including Batman, Spider-Man, The Avengers, Heath Ledger’s Joker from The Dark Knight, and Star Wars.
One Batman post features Zack Snyder’s Ben Affleck, Christopher Nolan’s Christian Bale, and Robert Pattinson and has 398 likes. A Spider-Man post featuring Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland has 319 likes. The RDJ/Avengers post that Turki shared to his story has 80 likes.
Those numbers are worth paying attention to. These are not viral posts with hundreds of thousands of likes being pushed across Instagram. They are smaller posts on an account tied directly to Turki, and he is personally engaging with them.
The DC vs Marvel post is the clear outlier with 11.9k likes, which only makes it more interesting that it is the one pinned to the top of the page.
Turki also regularly collaborates with Essam Bukhary, CEO of Manga Productions — Saudi Arabia’s anime and comics production company — on pop culture events like Riyadh Season and the Joy Forum.
The Zack Snyder Connection Keeps Growing
Turki and Snyder’s connection also goes beyond one movie.
In July 2024, Turki posted a photo with Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder, and Dana White, teasing “surprises on the way.” That eventually led to Brawlers.
Since then, the Snyder-Turki connection has only grown more public, with Turki calling Snyder “the great director Zack Snyder” and Snyder recently calling Turki “such an amazing force in entertainment.”
When Turki launched The Ring comic series through Dark Horse with writer Gail Simone, our insiders pointed out another Snyder connection: Simone wrote Snyder’s Rebel Moon comics, and we were told that Snyder recommended Simone to the Saudis for the project.
Our insiders have also consistently told us the Saudis are big comic book fans. Turki’s own production company posting DC vs Marvel content, Batman comparisons, Spider-Man posts, and Avengers material does not just back that up. It shows exactly which franchises are on the radar.

Where The DC vs Marvel Rumor Stands
We were upfront in November that a DC vs Marvel project was a long shot. We are still not saying it is confirmed.
What we can say is this: the man whose production company is already working with Zack Snyder, who our insiders say is tied to the SnyderVerse return through the Paramount-WBD deal, also founded a production company that pinned a DC vs Marvel post to the top of its Instagram page.
He also personally liked it months before we were told those discussions had taken place.
That is not a coincidence we are going to ignore.
For those keeping track, here is the full timeline of our insider reporting on this story:
Matt McGloin is the editor-in-chief and publisher of Cosmic Book News, the independent entertainment news site he founded in 2008. He covers movies, comics, TV, video games and pop culture and has reported major industry scoops over the years, including revealing the Avengers: Endgame title ahead of its official announcement. Through Cosmic Book News, he helped Marvel Comics promote Guardians of the Galaxy and Nova through exclusive previews, artwork, and interviews, with the site also quoted in solicitations and on comic covers. He also reported on Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again retooling before it was later confirmed by the trades.
