Frozen gave the world Elsa, Anna and Olaf the Snowman, but its biggest impact on popular culture is perhaps the ice-shatteringly popular ‘Let It Go’, written by Bobby Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.

The duo returned for the sequel, penning songs including another chart hit with ‘Into the Unknown’, and when the third film was announced, it was hard to imagine that they wouldn’t come back.

Well now Bobby and Kristen have indeed been confirmed for Frozen 3, thanks to Josh Gad.

Speaking on Good Morning America, the Olaf actor revealed that “Bobby and Kristen wrote the music again” and that he’s heard two of the songs.

    “They’re incredible,” he said. “Unbelievable.”

Gad also teased that Frozen 3 will be “the funniest of the three movies”, adding that he has been “laughing my butt off” in the recording studio.

Unfortunately, we’ve got quite the wait on our hands, as the film is set for a November 2027 release. There has been talk from Disney top brass that a fourth film might also be in the works, making the wait a little easier to bear.

Back in September 2024, Gad revealed that he messed up big time when it came to voicing Olaf, and wishes he had the power to do things differently.

“If I could do it all over again, I would not have lent that snowman my voice,” he said. “I would’ve created a different voice.

“It’s very weird being in a supermarket and having a little child [slowly turn their head and look at you]. That was my first big mistake.”

“But, you know, people tell me I have a very unique voice. People seem to like my voice, so I try to give it to them when I can,” he added.

Frozen 3 is set to release on 24 November 2027. The first two films can be streamed on Disney+.
