Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie did not attend this year’s Trooping the Colour.
Instead, the daughters of ex-Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson attended a wedding in Austria.
The sisters were joined by their husbands, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank.
While prominent members of the royal family attended this year’s Trooping the Colour ceremony on June 13, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie made other plans.

On the same day as the annual parade in London, the sisters, who have attended the event in the past, were guests at a wedding in Austria, per the Austrian outlet Kronen Zeitung. The wedding was reportedly held for a member of the aristocratic Schwarzenberg family.
For the nuptials, Beatrice wore a floor-length bronze gown with puffy sleeves. She accessorized with a black bag and wore her hair down. Eugiene, who is currently pregnant with her third child, wore a dark blue knit dress with black hoop earrings. She styled her hair in an updo.
Beatrice and Eugenie were also accompanied by their husbands, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank, respectively.

The daughters of ex-Prince Andrew have been keeping a low profile these days due to the scandal surrounding their father and his connection to Jeffrey Epstein.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested on his 66th birthday in February and was released 11 hours later. His arrest came after he was accused of misconduct in public office, after he allegedly “shared confidential information with the late Jeffrey Epstein while acting as a trade envoy for the U.K.,” per People.
Due to the controversy, The Telegraph reported in March that Beatrice and Eugenie are “not expected to attend high-profile events with the royal family for the foreseeable future.”
The event they missed, Trooping the Colour, dates back to the 1700s. The ceremony is an annual national celebration and parade that honors the official birthday of the British monarch. According to the official royal website, the elaborate event features over 1,400 parading soldiers, 200 horses, and 400 musicians.
Though they skipped the historic parade over the weekend, Beatrice and Eugenie did step out on June 6 to attend the wedding of their cousin Peter Phillips.

The son of Princess Anne married Harriet Sperling. Other royal attendees included the Princess Royal, his sister sister, Zara Tindall, her husband, Mike Tindall, King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Edward, and Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh.
At the wedding, Beatrice and William were seen sharing a friendly interaction. However, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told GB News that the women were “still in the eye of an unraveling storm” due to the fallout involving their father.
