A former star from the iconic movie Stand By Me has been hospitalized after a medical incident during a flight. Corey Feldman was flying from Chicago to Los Angeles after a Stand By Me Live Tour event when he began having issues aboard the plane, reports TMZ.
TMZ reports that, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department, a passenger aboard a flight experienced a medical emergency, and they responded. The male 54-year-old passenger was transported to the hospital for evaluation and treatment.
Sources for TMZ have confirmed that the passenger is Feldman, who was “feeling very sick on the flight.” A doctor who was on the flight checked him out, but emergency personnel still met the plane upon arrival in California and took him via ambulance to the hospital.
The media outlet indicates that doctors suspect Feldman may be experiencing either pancreatitis or issues with gallstones, although, as of TMZ’s initial report, testing and evaluation are ongoing.
Fans of Feldman’s flooded Instagram with well-wishes upon learning of the actor’s hospitalization.
“Hope he’s gonna be ok sending prayers,” one fan commented.
“Oh man… he’s been through so much… I hope he’s okay… sending him prayers,” added another.

On June 14, Feldman took to his Instagram page to share photos from the latest Stand By Me tour stop. It seemed he was feeling fine and enjoying the experience.
The Stand By Me tour is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the movie’s release. In addition to Feldman, co-stars Jerry O’Connell and Wil Wheaton are traveling across the country to share memories and rewatch the film with fans.
“They’ll revisit the summer that changed everything — on set and on screen — sharing memories, laughter, and secrets behind a film that still brings people together after all these years,” the description for the tour indicates.
In addition, “The evening will also include heartfelt reflections on working with their friend and co-star, the late River Phoenix, whose iconic performance continues to resonate with audiences around the world,” the tour description continued. Tragically, Phoenix died just a few years after the film’s release, in October 1993.
Feldman has yet to address the reports of his hospitalization, and fans will be eager to hear from him that he is fine and recovering.
