Ahsoka star Eman Esfandi recently attended a panel at SpaceCon San Antonio where he expressed his excitement to take his iteration of Ezra Bridger to new heights as he becomes a series regular.
According to a fan report, Eman Esfandi described his increased role in the new season of Ahsoka as one he enjoyed due to getting to work with a larger and more varied cast on his sophomore outing as the character. He noted that there are more action scenes that he was personally involved with this time around, and also indicated a more emotional story arc with his character, which is built around Ezra having to adjust to life as an adult after years of being separated from his closest friends.
Humorously, Esfandi said that he learned about Lucasfilm’s decision to delay the series to 2027 at the same time that we did. Unfortunately, no official transcript of the panel has been unveiled, nor is there a recording of the panel at this time, so these notes are all we have to go off of. You can see them below:

Ahsoka Season 2 will contain eight episodes, with the majority of the cast from the first season set to return. Our main heroes, Ahsoka and Sabine, were left stranded on Peridea at the end of the first season, along with Shin Hati and Baylan Skoll (played this time by Rory McCann, following up on a role previously portrayed by his late friend Ray Stevenson) – with all parties searching for answers as they journey into exploring the Force.
Meanwhile, Ezra Bridger has returned to our regular galaxy to reunite with Hera Syndulla to help prepare the New Republic for the battle ahead. Dave Filoni has described the new season as “all-out war” between Grand Admiral Thrawn and the New Republic forces led by Admiral Ackbar. Those action scenes Eman Esfandi mentioned will presumably take part in this battle between Thrawn and Ackbar.
