Brian Blessed will be among the famous faces attending the Stars of Time event at the Steam Museum on Saturday, June 20, from 10am to 5pm.
The actor – who has appeared in Flash Gordon, Star Wars Episode I, Tarzan, and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, among many other roles – recorded a special message which was shared by Swindon Borough Council on Tuesday.
He said: “Well, I’m looking forward to Swindon, eh?
“Done a lot of judo there, a lot of my friends – we went all the way to the North Pole [for] many many months, a lot of them were from Swindon.
“It’s a great place, a lovely place, exciting! I’m looking forward to it.
“We’ll have a tremendous time – all the people who went with me to the North Pole, be there!”
Mr Blessed will be joined by Star Wars and Harry Potter icon Warwick Davis and Ben Whitehead, the new voice of Wallace from Wallace and Gromit.
Tickets are available from https://www.steam-museum.org.uk/event/comic-con-2026/
The star guest line-up also includes Paul Kasey (who played various monsters and aliens in Star Wars and Doctor Who), Abdul Sallis (known for roles in F1, Love Actually, and Curtis Cooper on Casualty), puppeteer Ronnie Le Drew (best known for playing Zippy in Rainbow) with the British Puppet Guild, and Peter DeSouza-Feighoney (from horror films The Pope’s Exorcist and Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey 2).
Autographs and selfies with the star guests will cost extra.
Photoshoots must be booked separately via https://www.starsoftime.co.uk/swindon
Fans are invited to dress up as their favourite fictional character and will be able to enter a free cosplay competition during the event.
A lightsaber training experience, a superhero training camp, and a tribute to Kermit the Frog will also be available alongside several independent traders for those looking to snag some memorabilia of their favourite film, TV show or video game.
The historic site will be filled with spectacular prop displays, photo opportunities, character meet-and-greets, and virtual reality experiences.
Steam Museum manager Frances Yeo said: “We’re really excited to welcome the Stars of Time team back to Steam for what is set to be another excellent Comic Con.
“There’s always an amazing atmosphere around the place when this event rolls around and it’s great to see everyone so happy and enjoying what they love.”
